DAY 3–SECOND FULL SEA DAY
What can we say about Day 3, our second full sea day? Well, to start, the clocks sprung forward an hour. Then it rained nearly all day. No pickle ball. No outside activities. No worries. We found plenty to do.
Our Facebook Group (as well as the Cruise Critic Roll Call) had a meet and greet in the Crow’s Nest. There were well over 100 people there. Do we have lots of new friends from that? You betcha! Too many to mention them all on the blog, but some merit special mention.
We met a fantastic couple from Texas, Kim and William. We are joining them on a private tour in Gibraltar. More to come there.
We met Rob and Gea from the Netherlands. They were a fountain of information for next year’s Transatlantic from Florida to the Netherlands. Thanks Rob and Gea!
Well, when it rains on a cruise ship, one popular strategy was to head to a bar. We opted for that and hung out with two sassy ladies, Caroline and Margy. Caroline is from Florida. Margy is from Seattle. They were drinking Blood Marys. Melissa opted for a Smoked Cherry Old Fashioned. Well, as often happens when we hit the bar early in the day, Melissa and I crash and burn early in the evening.
We did a casual dinner in the Lido and retired to our cabin to chill. But then we caught a second wind and found Ian and Lynn and their fellow Canadians, Alex and Christian. We hung out chatting with them until late into the evening. Then it was back to the cabin, where we watched a movie.
